Thermoplastics

For thermoplastics we offer the following tests:

shrinkage behaviour | coefficients of expansion | rheology | mechanical testing | dynamic testing | hardness | creep

The group of thermoplastics includes a large number of different materials with varying properties which are not discussed in detail. In contrast to elastomers and thermosets, thermoplastics can be melted in a certain temperature range due to their chemical structure and can be reversibly solidified from the melt by cooling. During the actual shaping in the production process (e.g. injection moulding, extrusion), no more chemical reaction takes place to produce the actual final plastic material.
